The ASPIN Behavioral Health Network has been serving veterans in rural Indiana for over two decades. On average , the network serves 1,500 veterans and 4,000 veteran family members annually. Clinicians are trained on military culture to better understand veterans and military family members daily lives.
The ASPIN network has:
- Developed trainings for civilian clinicians to be trained on military culture
- Hired veterans, family members, and peers
- Participated in Indiana Governors Veteran, Service Members and Families Coalition (SAMHSA TA Meetings)
- Sought grant funding to support veterans seeking mental health services
